When Cam and I planned this trip, there were a lot of people interested. But when the time came, most had backed out for various reasons. So it ended up being Luke, Brooke, and I.

We started in Agnew Meadow in Mammoth on Friday the 12th and hiked to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite over 3 days. The hike ended up being 30 miles, which included a side trip up to Lyell Glacier on Saturday. We were running out of daylight, so we didn't have time to climb the peak. We had reservations on a shuttle from Tuolumne Meadows back to Mammoth on sunday evening. The three of us hike pretty fast, so we had plenty of time to swim and lay by the river relaxing before getting to the shuttle stop.

Brooke doing her Karate Kid impersonation.

A view of Emerald Lake, one of several lakes we passed over the weekend.

Brooke in front of Ruby Lake. We passed this lake shortly after leaving Emerald Lake.

Relaxing after eating lunch at Thousand Island Lake. Looks like Luke is wiped out.

This is a river that we camped near on Friday night.

The three of us at the base of Lyell Glacier with Mount Lyell in the background. Unfortunately we didn't have time to head up the glacier and climb the peak.

That's not very nice Luke.

We had plenty of time before we had to catch our shuttle back to Mammoth, so we stopped to take a swim in the river. Unfortunately we had trouble finding deep water.

When we got to the Tuolumne Store where we had to wait for the shuttle, we were hungry and still had time to kill. Looks like Brooke is enjoying her ice cream.
